About Meg Sinervo

Executive Director

Meg Sinervo is a Mississippi native, born and raised in Oxford. She received a bachelor’s degree from Auburn University in 2014, certificate of Culinary Arts from the Auguste Escoffier School of Culinary Arts located in Austin, Texas in 2016, and most recently graduated with a master’s degree in Nonprofit Administration for Louisiana State University-Shreveport in 2022. After culinary school, Meg moved back to Oxford to manage a catering company and serve as the General Manager for a locally owned restaurant. After working in hospitality for several years and collaborating with local nonprofit organizations, Meg discovered her passion for giving back and serving those in need within her own community. She left the hospitality industry to work with a scholarship program at the University of Mississippi and later, a nonprofit organization that honored college students across the American South. She joined the Meek Foundation as the Director of Resource Development in September 2021 and filled the role of Executive Director April 2022. “While I have mighty big shoes to fill, I am excited to continue my work with the Meek Foundation as the new Executive Director. The Charleston community holds a special place in my heart, and I am thrilled to have the opportunity to support East Tallahatchie students and local organizations in their efforts to make Charleston a great place to live. We have a lot of exciting things on the horizon, and I am looking forward to making new connections in Charleston!” Meg serves as a board member for the Charleston Arts and Revitalization Efforts (CARE) and is a member of the Oxford University United Methodist Church. Meg lives in Oxford with her three fur babies, Anderson, Woodford, and Penelope. Meg can be reached at meg.sinervo@meekfoundation.com or 662-816-8232.
